Crouch is a film about small-town folk from Idaho. Created using home videos from residents in 2009, before the age of Instagram and the bullshit influencer personality, when person video cameras were becoming accessible to low income households and the people were experimenting by recording everything from backyard church barbecues to their friends jerking off in the corner. These are unfiltered reflections of a time when the camera was not a medium for public performance but an intimate extension of the soul.
